El Internacional Tapas Bar & amp; The restaurant is considered an artistic project and social experiment, conducted between 1984 and 1986 by artist Antoni Miralda and chef Montse GuillÃÆ'n n in the Tribeca neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. History
El Internacional was the first restaurant to introduce tapas in the United States. The tapas recreated the presence of Spain, the Mediterranean, Catalonia, and Barcelona, ​​as filtered by through Miralda's personal vision and Montse GuillÃÆ'Â © n. Interior
The façade is redrawn on existing ones, such as optical illusions, and buildings undergo total transfiguration without erasing the previous architecture. Under the new façade, Teddy's disguised name still exists. From the street, the restaurant looks like a confusing construction/artwork site causing unexpected reactions from the audience.
