A flatbread is bread made with flour, water and salt, and then completely ground into a flat dough. Many unleavened flatbreads - though some are slightly leavened, like pita bread. Throughout history, many if not most cultures have food that can be classified as flat bread.
There are many other optional ingredients that may contain flat rolls, such as curry powder, red dumplings, chili powder, or black pepper. Olive oil or sesame oil may be added as well. Flatbreads can range from one millimeter to several centimeters thick.
