A falling sand game is a kind of video game particle simulation. They allow users to place particles of various elements on "canvas". Particles can interact with other particles in various ways, and may be affected by gravity, in some games. Many complex effects can be achieved. Many versions of Falling Sand Games have been written since its introduction in 2005.
