The Big Sandy Wildcats 1975 football team is considered one of the most dominant in the history of Texas high school soccer. Going for their third successive B class title, Big Sandy went 14-0 with (then) a country record of 11 shutouts, outscoring opponents 824-15. The offense resulted in a national record that still survived 114 strokes rushing, including running back David Overstreet making 52 himself. The defense, led by defensive end/linebacker and future coach of Chicago Bears Lovie Smith, allowed only two goals throughout the season. Only once during the entire season did the Big Sandy trail during the game, when they went 2-0 down to the Bride at the start of the championship game.
