Kraft Foods Group, Inc. is an American food and conglomerate manufacturing company headquartered in the Chicago suburb of Northfield, Illinois, part of the Kraft Heinz Company.
The company was restructured in 2012 as a spin off from Kraft Foods Inc., which in turn renamed Mondelez International. The new Kraft Foods Group is focused primarily on grocery products for the North American market while Mondelez focuses on international confectionery and snack brands. Until merger with Heinz, Kraft Foods Group is an independent public company listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
On July 2, 2015, Kraft completed a merger with Heinz, set by Heinz Berkshire Hathaway and 3G Capital owners, creating the world's fifth largest food and beverage company, Kraft Heinz Company.

In April 2013, Hari and Leake submitted a petition with about 270,000 signatures to Kraft headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, and asked the company to change the recipes of macaroni and cheese.
In October 2013, Kraft announced that it would remove artificial dyes from three varieties of macaroni and cheese made in child-friendly form, but not the usual Kraft Macaroni and Cheese-shaped products with "authentic flavor."
