Casa Conejo is an unrelated island island in Newbury Park, Ventura County, California, United States. This was the first planned community in Newbury Park and began to be built in 1960. When the town of Thousand Oaks was merged 4 years later, new developments at Newbury Park were incorporated into the city limits before being divided again. This community is bordered by Old Conejo Road and US 101 to the North, Borchard Road to the South, Jenny Dr. to the West, and Sequoia Middle School to the East. For statistical purposes, the US Census Bureau has defined Casa Conejo as the census-designated place (CDP). The census definition of the area may not be appropriate according to the local understanding of the region of the same name. The population is 3,249 at the 2010 census, up from 3,180 in the 2000 census. Casa Conejo is located in a rectangular area surrounded by the town of Thousand Oaks.
The Casa Conejo City Advisory Council (MAC) serves the residents of Casa Conejo, and makes recommendations to the Supervisory Board. The goal is to provide a forum for Casa Conejo residents to discuss various issues and come up with ideas to the Supervisory Board. While many other unrelated islands were finally annexed by the Thousand Oaks City during the 1980s, voters of Casa Conejo resisted such efforts and remained an unrelated pocket surrounded by Newbury Park. Casa Conejo is part of Newbury Park, but not part of Thousand Oaks.

The longest river of Conejo Valley, Arroyo Conejo, flows westward and crosses horizontally south of Casa Conejo. Multipurpose trails along the river have been proposed, which will cross the community and connect the Newbury Park Library and the Borchard Community Park. The line will be open to pedestrians, motorcyclists and pedestrians, resembling Simi Valley's Arroyo Simi. The waterway is managed by the Ventura Watershed Protection District, while Conejo Recreation and Park District (CRPD) will ignore the proposed recreational multipurpose road.
