USS Jean Sands (1863) was a steamship acquired by the Union Navy during the American Civil War. He was used by Union Navy as a tugboat and rescue ship to support the Union Navy.

Jean Sands was built in Brooklyn, New York, in 1863 and purchased by the Navy in New York City from TF Rowland on 18 October 1864. He was stationed in Norfolk Navy Yard where he served as a tug and a lifeboat. Jean Sands sold May 16, 1892.
